Train Your Team

Looking for Infant Massage Certification Training for your team? There are several ways to get your team members certified and start an infant massage program with your families.

In March 2020, Jody Wright taught the second IAIM Infant Massage Training in Brazil. Go to iaim.net to find out more about our forming chapter in that country.

Join a Public Training

You can send team members to an Infant Massage USA Certification Training. Find a list of upcoming trainings led by Jody Wright on this website. Find trainings around the USA by going to: Infant Massage USA Trainings

Or around the world by going to: International Association of Infant Massage

Many trainings offer a 10% discount for groups of 3 or more participants who register together. With an Early Bird Discount, in the USA this can bring your training costs down to $603 per participant when you register 3 or more team members, 3 or more weeks before the training. The training fee includes all the infant massage reading materials, but does not include a doll for each participant. You can purchase a doll for infant massage when you register with me for your training.

Host a Private Training

You can also set up a Private Training in your Center just for your own team members. The IAIM International Trainer will travel to your site, give the four-day training, and support your team in developing an infant massage program for the families your work with. This can provide substantial savings over paying overtime, travel and lodging expenses for staff members. The costs for training each person go down after 12 (and up to 22) participants, but many agencies train fewer staff because of the convenience and reduction of stress and travel expense for their team members.

Trainer Jody Wright IAIMT, CEIM, has over 35 years experience teaching infant massage both in the USA and around the world. Contact her for more information, costs and available dates for private trainings. If needed, Jody can refer you to other International Association of Infant Massage and Infant Massage USA trainers.

Let’s talk about an in-house training for my staff.

We will work out a plan that meets the needs of your organization, sign an agreement, and provide you with a detailed invoice. Usually the hosting organization provides a venue for the training, provides snacks for their team, and finds parents and babies for the three-day, one-hour parent-baby class. The trainer is payed a flat rate for the four-day training, and is reimbursed for her travel, lodging and food expenses. There is a per student materials fee that covers all reading materials. Dolls can be shipped for the training, or you can choose and provide your own. The Trainer will focus the training on meeting the needs of your staff and clients.

What do participants say about their training?

Here are some comments from participants in a February 2020 private training taught by Jody Wright at an agency in Texas:

Relaxed. Very informative with techniques you can use immediately. Well-organized. Loved it!

I liked the structure of the course, utilizing both hands-on & lecture. I also liked teaching a class with Jody observing and offering input. Jody was amazing. I liked the personal stories.

I liked learning how babies communicate and benefits of the infant massage for the infant and to the parents and families. Great and informative class!

I liked how Jody covered more than just the strokes. Her knowledge on various topics was enjoyable. I can apply what I learned to my job as a whole. I’m so excited to do massage and apply the information I learned.

I liked the hands on work with dolls, observation of babies brought in [for parent-baby classes] and opportunity to hold a group [training]. Group time to have discussions and share ideas.

This course was great. I learned so much information that I can’t wait to apply to my special needs population. I enjoyed the atmosphere, and Jody was great, and really made us feel at ease and encouraged discussion and learning.

I liked the structure of the class. Rather than simply presenting information and then practicing, I really enjoyed the open discussion, small groups, and practice class.

I have learned a lot throughout this course! I really liked the background of massage and the bonding it creates with the family. I also enjoyed learning about the cues infants give us. Thanks, Jody!

I enjoyed the hands-on portion and the opportunity to teach real families in a class setting.
